Glide 2.0 Expands Services and Client Platforms
TransMedia announced the imminent release of a significant upgrade to its desktop-like web service, Glide Effortless. Glide 2.0 – to be released on October 3, 2006 – allows you to share and modify photos, music, movies, documents, and other files online in web applications that approximate the experience of using equivalent applications on your desktop computer.

The service works with both Macs and PCs. Glide 2.0 adds a photo editor, multimedia presentation tool, word processor with support for blogging and templating, and a spreadsheet.
Glide 2.0 also increases mobile phone support allowing you to access the service on every major smartphone platform including Palm, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, and Symbian.
Pricing and complete features will be announced on October 3, 2006.
