Apple Holding Position With New iPod/iTunes Announcements
Apple's recent announcements of iPod revamps and downloadable movies met with a favorable reaction among market analysts according to Business Week.
Apple seems to have successfully introduced relatively minor, but effective updates to its iPod/iTunes product line. This should buy them some extra time to continue working on its heavily speculated upon "true video" iPod.
Also, Apple introduced a brand new product which should not be overlooked. The new iTV home theater device may just end up being the basis for the much anticipated (and rumored) Apple Digital Video Recorder (DVR) that may just become to personal video recorders what the iPod has become in the digital music market. All of this seemingly timed to converge upon the likely introduction of full, consumer-controlled video by Apple either just in time for the end-of-year holiday season, or in the early part of 2007.
